FINANCIAL STABILITY

10%
STABILITY TODAY, OPPORTUNITY TOMORROW.

Financial security gives individuals and families the freedom to plan for the future instead of simply getting through today. Stable employment, affordable housing and access to financial resources help create stronger households and a stronger community.

THE NEED IN OUR COMMUNITY
  • Nearly 1 in 3 households in Black Hawk County are ALICE or living in poverty.
  • Nearly half of local students qualify for free or reduced-price meals.
  • More than half of renter households spend 30% or more of their income on housing.
  • Child care remains one of the largest barriers preventing many parents from entering or remaining in the workforce.
HOW CEDAR VALLEY UNITED WAY IS RESPONDING
