Every community needs a strong safety net to support individuals and families facing crisis. When people experience a temporary setback or emergency, quick access to food, shelter and other essentials can make all the difference.
Cedar Valley United Way invests in programs that provide immediate, short-term assistance to help people regain stability. These programs focus on meeting urgent needs rather than long-term outcomes, ensuring that help is available when it's needed most.
Our Emergency and Basic Needs investments support services such as:
- Access to food, shelter and rent assistance
- Remove immediate barriers to safety or employment
Grants in this area range from $10,000 to $75,000 annually. Clients served must have an income below 200% of the federal poverty level.
Together, we're helping our neighbors recover from crisis and rebuild toward a more stable future.
