Planned Giving

Cedar Valley United Way is planning for the future—the future health and welfare of our community. In that planning, we encourage you to look at the many ways you can contribute to that future. Gifts to Cedar Valley United Way can help shape this community’s future. While the annual campaign is the most visible, familiar vehicle through which gifts are made, more imaginative, thoughtful and beneficial approaches are used by some who have a desire to have their estate plans mirror their current lifetime interests and commitments. Naming Cedar Valley United Way as a beneficiary of your estate will allow United Way to continue investing in the life outcomes of kids and families.

“As we reach the end of our years, we will not be remembered by the car we drove or the house we lived in, but by what we have done to help others. People who step up and reach out to help others will be remembered with warmth and gratitude. Thank you to the members of the Cedar Society for Leadership Giving for helping to make life a little easier, a little better for someone in our community.”
-- Nancy S. Showers, Leadership Giving Co-Chair

A planned gift is a very individual decision that considers your giving objectives, while maximizing the tax advantages and estate planning benefits of the gift.  Your gift may be outright and immediate, or a future gift arranged now but not received by Cedar Valley United Way until a future date.

Many friends and supporters of United Way have discovered their planned gift can make a huge difference in the lives of the people in our community. This may be a way that let's you give a gift larger than you ever imagined.
