Funding Applications Being Taken

Cedar Valley United Way is beginning the grant application process for the 2010-11 funding year. To be considered, programs must target one of three funding areas: education, income or health. For a description of these funding areas, please read about target issues for Cedar Valley United Way.

Any program or collaborating programs seeking funding must have a single sponsoring 501c3 as their fiscal agent. To be considered for funding, the program must take place within a 30 mile radius of Waterloo/Cedar Falls.

Agencies wishing to apply must complete a letter of intent and partner profile.

The timeline for the funding process will be:

• November 2, 2009 Deadline for e-mailing clarification questions to Kelly Knott.
• November 5, 2009 Letters of Intent and Partner Profiles due to United Way by 2 p.m.
• November 20, 2009 Notification of Letter of Intent disposition sent by United Way.
• January 8, 2010 Applications due from invited programs by 2 p.m.
• May 2010 Formal award notifications sent by United Way.
• July 1, 2010 Funding year begins.
